Our sun

The sun… a life giving star… It is so big that you could fit about 1000+ earths in it, and that’s just a theory.

The temperature of the suns core is about 15,700,000 degrees Celsius, and the temperature of the sun’s surface is (from what I’ve heard) 15,000 degrees Celsius.

The sun orbits the centre of our galaxy, so by the time you’ve read this you’ve travelled a few miles around our galaxy’s core!

It would take a few thousand years in the fastest plane on earth at full speed to fully go around the sun, if you are planning to do so, wear a bit of sun screen!

Our sun is named a dwarf star, there are many other stars that make our sun look puny.

The sun has a gravitational pull so strong that once you enter it’s atmosphere you can’t escape, and it would crush you, assuming you haven’t been burned to death first…

Our sun has the mass about 330,000 times that of Earth.

There are sun spots located on the sun that can be seen from earth.

Considering how hot it is on the sun, you may assume it has no water at all on it, and I can agree with you thinking that, but somehow they have found water on the sun, in steam form, and it even rains! The raindrops are the size of Ireland!
