Our Solar System

All about our own space

stuff with thingies

This small planet is the closest planet to the sun and the second hottest, if I were you, I wouldn’t go there for a holiday.

The weirdest part about Mercury is that although it’s the closest planet to the sun, it has water ice in some areas! These areas are the coldest and darkest areas or Mercury.

It has wrinkles, yes you read that right, and yes I typed it right, it’s weird, but it’s true. They can be 1 mile high and 100 miles long!

A year on Mercury is just 88 days long, it seems to me the close they are, the quicker the year.

It’s the smallest planet in the entire solar system.

It is the most cratered planet in the solar system, considering it’s closer to the sun, it’s right in the line of fire, so unlike other planets that repair themselves (geologically active planets like our own), Mercury hasn’t had a chance to repair itself.

It has a very thin atmosphere, but thanks to solar winds it’s atmosphere keeps replenishing.
