What can you do with your blog?
A blog can be a great tool for you and/or your business! Here are a few ways you can use one:
- Sharing Personal Experiences: A blog can be your personal diary, where you share your thoughts, experiences, and life lessons. It’s a great way to express yourself and connect with others who might be going through similar experiences.
- Educational Resource: If you’re an expert in a particular field, you can use a blog to share your knowledge and educate others. This could be anything from cooking recipes, DIY crafts, to complex topics like rocket science! 😀
- Business Promotion: Businesses often use blogs to promote their products or services. It’s a great way to provide valuable content to your customers, build trust, and improve your online visibility. Build up enough online reviews in the right places and your business could skyrocket!
- Building a Community: Blogs can help you build a community around a specific topic or interest. You can engage with your readers through comments and/or forums, creating a sense of belonging and community. Everyone likes to feel they belong somewhere without judgement.
- Portfolio Showcase: If you’re a creative professional, like a photographer or a writer, a blog can serve as a portfolio to showcase your work to potential clients.
- Income Generation: Once you have a substantial amount of traffic, you can monetise your blog through selling products, advertising, sponsored posts, or affiliate marketing.

Keeping your site/blog legal
There are a lot of concerning stories lately, about people being arrested and even imprisoned for posting their opinions in public. Whether or not you agree with this, it’s important to understand that what you post can have consequences and there appears to be a limits on free speech. However, there are somethings that are black and white, in a legal sense. This website has some excellent information on keeping yourself out of trouble when adding content.
A blog or website?
A blog is a website that is updated regularly (or not!) by making public posts on specific subjects. These can have comments allowed or not.
A website tends to be more static, with pages rather than posts, but make no mistake – your blog is your website! It all depends on what you want to do with it. Maybe you just want a single page with your business details on it. Perhaps you want a regularly updated blog that promotes lively discussion amongst members. It’s up to you!
Whatever you use your blog/website for, it’s amazing to have your own online presence, even if it’s just to share your reviews, views, opinions, holiday snaps, whatever! Just go for it and put yourself out there into the digital world!
What’s happened to our site?
Well, I’m a lady, so I won’t curse, but our site was hacked and a lot of the themes and plugins were old, making the site vulnerable to attack (obviously!). So, we’ve had a complete revamp and are starting the site again, fresh and new!
There are no free/premium membership levels for the time-being, we will be depending on ads and affiliate links to try to recuperate some of the costs associated with the server.
It’s free to sign up and create as many sites as you want, just make sure to read our privacy policy and terms and conditions.
